Real conversation is continuous\, fast\, and full of context. \nThis presentation looks at what happens when researchers study listening the way it really happens. New brain-imaging tools let scientists track\, moment by moment\, how the brain turns a stream of sound into meaning. The results are changing what we know about hearing loss\, how children develop listening and language skills\, and how well hearing aids really help in everyday conversation.
