The number of people with hearing loss is more than those living with Parkinson\u2019s, epilepsy, Alzheimer\u2019s, and diabetes combined.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing loss disrupts communication but in addition to the emotional impact of hearing loss, new studies have demonstrated clear associations between untreated hearing loss and an increased risk of dementia, depression, falls and even cardiovascular diseases.
