Join the HLAA Madison Chapter for our upcoming meeting, featuring an engaging and informative double presentation focused on making the most of your audiology appointments.
Dr. Rachael Jocewicz, AUD, CCC-A, from UW Health will share insights on what audiologists need from patients to deliver the best care. Then, HLAA Madison Chapter President Katherine Rybak will offer practical tips on how patients can prepare for a successful audiology appointment based on her lived experience and advocacy work.
Whether you’re new to hearing loss or have been navigating it for years, this meeting will offer valuable tools and perspectives to help you take charge of your hearing health. All are welcome!
Rachael M Jocewicz, AuD, CCC-A earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Spanish, and Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014 and her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree in 2018 both from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She completed her audiology externship training at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Her clinical areas of specialization include adult and pediatric cochlear implants, bone conduction devices, diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aids, and assistive listening devices. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.
Katherine Rybak, MEd, NBCT is a retired Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and author of the book Becoming Hearing Empowered.
