Hearing loss, whether you’ve just been diagnosed, or you’ve been living with it for years, can be frustrating and emotionally devastating. Navigating basic communication with loved ones, colleagues, and friends feels exhausting and can lead to isolation and depression. Learning to become a self-advocate while fighting the effects of stigma can be a lifelong struggle. Becoming Hearing Empowered: A Guided Journal for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing contains vital information and instruction, alongside thought-provoking activities designed to move you along the path to pride and self-advocacy much more efficiently than Google searches and audiology visits. Join others experiencing the same struggles in an 8-week book study, led by the author, where you will work through the 8 chapters with guidance and support.

- Consider the EMOTIONAL IMPACT of negative experiences because of your hearing loss, and then GET YOUR ROADMAP to MOVE CONFIDENTLY FORWARD.

- CONFIDENTLY DISCLOSE your hearing loss CLEARLY and EFFECTIVELY in ANY SITUATION.
- Explore how STIGMA influences your feelings about hearing technology.
- Become WELL-INFORMED about ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY and ACCOMMODATIONS and know HOW TO ACCESS THEM.
- Set HEALTHY SOCIAL and EXPERIENTIAL BOUNDARIES that PROTECT your ENERGY.
